TWEETING THE CONFERENCE: SAN ANTONIO IN 140 CHARACTERS

Posted under Conference

twitterCan’t make it to the Alliance conference in San Antonio this year? Here’s the next best thing to being there. Between 4/29 and 4/30 you can follow the conference sessions and view streaming updates by going to http://search.twitter.com and entering #careers09. Or, if you have a Twitter account, simply start following CMA09.

Our Twitter team, led by Barbara Safani and Deb Dib, will be tweeting highlights, insights, and other “ah ha” moments live from the event. You don’t have to have a Twitter account to read the updates. Just visit http://search.twitter.com, enter #careers09 and click Search. The results will give you everything that’s being said from the conference

With all the recent attention Twitter has been getting, it’s hard to miss, but if you aren’t familiar with it you might want to read Deb Dib’s article from last summer, “What Is Twitter? Why Should You Care?” http://tinyurl.com/DibTwitter.

For more information, email Barbara Safani at info@careersolvers.com.

Mind the Gap: Thank You!

Posted under Conference & Speakers/Presentations

I just wanted to take a moment to say thank you to anyone, everyone who attended our session, Mind the Gap: Connecting the Generations. It was truly an honor to get to present before you and we so appreciated your participation. The information we got back from program participants was wonderful; you provided us with 75+ ideas, strategies, and best practices that you use to connect with a multi-generational population.  Over the coming days, we will be sharing that feedback with you. Until then, thank you for your contributions to our presentation. If you didn’t have a chance to attend, feel free to share, write, post, pass along the feedback as you deem appropriate when it becomes available.  Thanks again from the three of us, Sarah, Karen, and Billie.

Is Social Marketing in Your Future?

Posted under Conference & Uncategorized

One of the recurring themes at this year’s CMA conference is the potential of social marketing to transform your business.  LinkedIn, Facebook, and other social marketing sites are drawing the attention of conference attendees.

But what the heck is social marketing? Is it real or just a fad? And can it benefit me even if I’m not a big wig with a big budget?

Well, we have an exclusive audio interview with Conference exhibitor Jason Alba, the author of “I’m on Facebook . . . Now What?”  Jason helps make plain sense of what can be confusing for a newbie and shows us how we can leverage the powerful potential of social marketing.

You can download a higher quality version of the interview by clicking the link at the right.
